Are these the End Times?

Timothy 2:22 Flee the evil desires of youth and pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace, along with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart. 23 Don’t have anything to do with foolish and stupid arguments, because you know they produce quarrels. 24 And the Lord’s servant must not be quarrelsome but must be kind to everyone, able to teach, not resentful. 25 Opponents must be gently instructed, in the hope that God will grant them repentance leading them to a knowledge of the truth, 26 and that they will come to their senses and escape from the trap of the devil, who has taken them captive to do his will.

3 But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. 2 People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, 3 without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, 4 treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God— 5 having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people.

6 They are the kind who worm their way into homes and gain control over gullible women, who are loaded down with sins and are swayed by all kinds of evil desires, 7 always learning but never able to come to a knowledge of the truth. 8 Just as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, so also these teachers oppose the truth. They are men of depraved minds, who, as far as the faith is concerned, are rejected. 9 But they will not get very far because, as in the case of those men, their folly will be clear to everyone.
New International Version (NIV)

thanks for the reminder

about how awful our world is

I like the last part about how their folly will be clear to everyone… except to those who have mud in their eyes (souls)–those who see truth but go in the opposite direction just the same… scary folks

No, its not the end of times, it’s just we are experiencing things that our grandchildren will be debating and discussing in the future.

Many people thought it was the end of times during the first world war and the second world war and the great depression.

i was in a quiet place the other d ay, not really praying, but certainly not not-praying…

and i heard some words in my head, which, yeh, I know how that goes so I am not putting much stock in this

but I h eard these words

I am coming back

and I said, to what could have been Jesus

But I already knew that…

and then I heard the word

soon

well, how soon is soon (I wondered)…?

I didn’t ask that one… maybe I was scared…

I can’t prove this was Jesus but you know… it was very peculiar because I wasn’t even thinking about such things at the time…

Maybe telepathy from Barack Obama.

Another option, a flashback to the terminator.

LOL

I doubt my radar is attuned to that dude…

and besides, it was a friendly kind of thing…

Since the Dem Socialist now control the House, we are headed to a POLITICAL ARMAGEDDON!!!
:us::-1:

More likely gridlock for the next 2 years.

That’s the way I see it. Investigation and headlines trump actual governance because the left doesn’t really want to govern. They want to dictate and they don’t have that power yet. Just the power to derail and resist beneficial legislation.

doubt it… the Rs have even more in the Senate

we will only have more gridlock

and this time the Dems can’t point their gnarly fingers @ the Rs and say

IT WAS THEIR FAULT

(of course, they say t hat whether it is the Rs fault or not…) arg… get them outa here in 2020

in other words business as usual

but again, the good thing is that the Ds can’t blame the Rs anymore… well, i guess they can, they can blame the Senate that might not be too willing to pass their stupid un-American bills…

I hope the Rs have all grown a spine
