Florida Parkland Shooting: Liberal Gun Control Ideas are Worthless

All bullets are made to kill even cheap ones made to practice with . A small projectile tumbling or a 50cal just penetrating through what ever gets in the way they will kill !
Its not the firearms or the bullets it’s the people !
Criminals don’t obey laws and crazy will try to find a way . Society job is to make it increasingly harder to hurt our children . Harden schools entrances and windows to start .

It was a buy back!!!

Actually about 20% of them didn’t cooperate in 1996. The link says most of the 30,000 additional guns turned in last summer were amongst those. There was voluntary cooperation otherwise.

Under the 1996 law, Australia banned certain semi-automatic, self-loading rifles and shotguns, and imposed stricter licensing and registration requirements. It also instituted a mandatory buyback program for firearms banned by the 1996 law.

Confiscation !!!

They make different loads for different hunting purposes for the .223 cartridge.

This ammo maker is producing more different types of .223/5.56mm ammo. Black Hills Ammunition and I have been using their ammo for more than 22 years, and I’ve never once had a bad round in any caliber. BHA hand inspects each and every round of ammo that leaves their plant – no other big-name ammo company does this! Here is the latest list of .223/5.56mm ammo that BHA offers to the hunter:

A mandatory by back that wasn’t enforced. There was no door to door confiscation. Lots of guys like you simply didn’t bring their guns to the sell.

It also instituted a mandatory buyback program for firearms banned by the 1996 law.

Americans are too paralyzed to act with the swiftness and clarity of purpose as the Australians did. And the NRA won’t allow the GOP to even talk about it.

On April 28, 1996, a gunman opened fire on tourists in a seaside resort in Port Arthur, Tasmania. By the time he was finished, he had killed 35 people and wounded 23 more. It was the worst mass murder in Australia’s history.

Twelve days later, Australia’s government did something remarkable. Led by newly elected CONSERVATIVE Prime Minister John Howard, it announced a bipartisan deal with state and local governments to enact sweeping gun-control measures. A decade and a half hence, the results of these policy changes are clear: They worked really, really well.

So was FDR’s CONFISCATION of gold…

It was voluntary cooperation otherwises…:rofl::rofl: Under Threat Of Incarceration For Up To 20 Years, Gawd what a silly statement…

They never had the right to keep and bear arms enshrined in their Constitution either… Don’t like the Bill of Rights… change them but do not attempt do dilute the rights with precedence setting laws. You got a beef with the RIGHTS laid out in the US Constittuion, Article V is the only acceptable way to resolve this conflict and you won’t find 3/4th of the states to ratify and amendment to repeal the second amendment… how wise the founders were… they knew their would be people in the population who would want to disarm them… King George taught them a few things about authoritarian government.

Now if you are really interested in fixing this problem, I suggest you start looking at the way progressives have made the US society so dysfunction and so full of disregard for human life…

Australia is not a police state, nor is England. Don’t hyperventilate, you’ll be ok. There are limits to the second amendment which survived the last AR ban.

The UK is the most surveilled country most certainly in the west and right up their with all countries. since I have lived here, its unwritten constitution has given up the protections of double jeopardy. Police state is most certainly a relative term and one that is created over time by many mechanisms in the name of keeping the people safe… Do not underestimate the power of the Patriot act, various provisions of the NDAA and layers of government surveillance and investigative laws that appear to have found a lot of abuse of late… While you might have cheered the move, using the IRS as a political weapon is the foundation of a police state.

P.S. Could you point me to the supreme court case upholding a ban on so called ‘assault weapons’? As far as I know, the Supreme Court has only rejected hearing a state created bans and the for the 10 year ban, the court refused to hear it… That could change and we could very well get a Supreme Court decision that you would not like.

There will NO ban on Americas best selling weapon !

Well we will certainly see about that.
