Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) cautioned against the efficacy of President Donald Trump’s proposed border wall, saying that the price tag for the project might exceed its utility.
Actually Rand Paul’s point was strictly about cost and not about efficacy. In some respects I tend to agree with him but what he does not address are the people like Obama who create open borders policies that encourage illegals. He does not address the hard pushback by people who fight tooth and toenail to prevent manditory E-verify or for that matter, clean voter rolls. Also I don’t know if his cost estimates include the ability to have far greater control over the flow of drugs into the US… And at the end of the day, he didn’t discount the wall because as he said “the price tag for the project MIGHT exceed its utility.”.
