Lawsuit: 100,000 noncitizens registered to vote in Pennsylvania

More than 100,000 noncitizens are registered to vote in Pennsylvania alone, according to testimony submitted Monday in a lawsuit demanding the state come clean about the extent of its problems.

The Public Interest Legal Foundation, which has identified similar noncitizen voting problems in studies of Virginia and New Jersey, said Pennsylvania officials have admitted noncitizens have been registering and voting in the state “for decades.”

But state officials have stonewalled PILF requests for access to the data that could expose the problem, the group says in a lawsuit filed in federal court in Harrisburg.

“For months, Pennsylvania bureaucrats have concealed facts about noncitizens registering and voting — that ends today,” PILF President and General Counsel J. Christian Adams said.

He said Pennsylvania had already admitted to a “glitch” dating back to the 1990s that had allowed noncitizens applying to renew driver’s licenses to be offered the chance to register to vote. Mr. Adams said he now wants to find out how bad the problem is overall.

Pennsylvania officials wouldn’t respond to the lawsuit, nor to the 100,000 noncitizen number.

“We’re not going to comment on anything related to litigation,” said Wanda Murren, director of communications and press at the Pennsylvania Department of State.

The 100,000 number cited in the lawsuit comes from testimony given by Philadelphia Commissioner Al Schmidt, who revealed the glitch in the state motor vehicle bureau’s systems that prompted noncitizens to register to vote.

The PILF did manage to obtain some records from county officials and filed some of their findings in the new court case.

One man, Felipe Rojas-Orta, canceled his registration last year, filing a handwritten note saying he was not a citizen. He had, however, registered as a Democrat and voted in three separate elections, including most recently 2016, the year of the presidential race.

Another woman had her registration canceled in 2006 as a noncitizen, yet re-registered to vote twice — and cast ballots in some elections. That woman is still active in the system, the lawsuit says.

The federal “motor-voter” law requires states to make voter registration available at motor vehicle bureaus, but also pushes states to try to keep their voter roles clean. Under the law, private parties can sue to press states to perform the cleansing.

It’s not surprising to me about this. I live about 65 miles from Philadelphia and read the Daily News for its sports coverage.
The paper hasn’t published this story because they’re in bed with the Liberal mayor and DA. They did cover the recent trial of a corrupt DA who resigned before the 2017 Primary.
Mayor Kenney declared Philadelphia A Sanctuary City after becoming mayor. The city has had plenty of voting “irregularities” by the Democratic ward leaders manipulating the vote by either increasing or decreasing voter turnout depending on who the candidates are. Also it was reported that in 59 voting districts , there wasn’t one vote for Mitt Romney .Odd isn’t it.

Not surprising at all.

In Colorado we have motor voter, fill in the card send it in, your registered.

We also have same day registration for voting.

We have mail in ballot, few polling places still exist.

Go ahead tell me we have no voter fraud.

There is no voter fraud if you don’t look for it.

Like someone else said, the government will soon allow voting by cell phone. What a bonus for those people that have Obamaphones !!!

That way EVERYBODY that lives in the country can vote. Republicans have historically hated voter turn out. With the more people that vote, the more the GOP’s chances of winning decline.

Everyone knew the dems were encouraging illegals to vote that’s why they have all those sanctuary Cities . Since the RINO’s have sided with the dems on the “dreamers” that number moved from 650,000 to 1,800,000 and the latest number is 3,750,000 they are like roaches multiplying everyday !! When did we start referring to 45 year olds as "children " ???

Hey, why not just send mail in ballots to every person in the world and let them vote as well after all everyone in the word has a vested interest in the collapse of this country as you do.

What is an Obama phone? Anyway, why wouldn’t every resident within our borders be able to vote. If you live here, work here, pay taxes here etc., you have skin in the game.

It’s called being a legal citizen.

Really a difficult concept to understand but try real hard.

Monte,in your Infinite Wisdom ,why would you want anyone, citizen or not to vote unless it’s to further the Leftist Socialist agenda.

I made it quite clear. If you live here, work here, are raising a family hear, paying taxes here, you have an interest in who’s steering the bus. It’s always been in the GOP’s interest to diminish the voting polls as much as possible.

Bullshit. They have no business being here, most Americans don’t want their stank asses here, they have no right voting in our elections. They want to vote they can go back to their shitholes. If we catch an illegal voting it should be immediate execution not just for them but their entire family. That would solve the illegal voting problem.

Lol. Well, NONE of that will happen.

Don’t worry. The left is pushing us so hard nowadays something is gonna happen. Can’t you feel it?

No, tell me, what have you got planned???

Not planned. Prepared. We’ve all been preparing for the happening that initiates the DOTR.

What is the dotr and what’s the nature of your preparations?

If you don’t know then don’t worry about it. You just worry about you.

That’s fine, I was doing just that when you showed up today and butted into my business.
