Neil deGrasse Tyson Accused Of Sexual Misconduct

#metoo gone rouge

NEW YORK (AP) — Renowned astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson will be investigated by Fox and National Geographic Networks after allegations of sexual misconduct were leveled against him.

Patheos.com published accounts Thursday from two women who say that Tyson behaved in a sexually inappropriate manner with them. Tyson was host of “Cosmos” on Fox in 2014 and a new edition of the series was to air on National Geographic next year.

Tyson has not commented publicly and an email request for comment to his representative was not immediately returned.

In a statement the producers of “Cosmos” said: “The credo at the heart of ‘Cosmos’ is to follow the evidence wherever it leads. The producers of ‘Cosmos’ can do no less in this situation.”

They said they will conduct a thorough investigation. Meanwhile Fox and National Geographic said Friday evening that they only recently learned of the allegations and were reviewing the allegations.

Besides numerous TV appearances, Tyson is also the director of the Hayden Planetarium at the American Museum of Natural History in New York City.

I’m no fan of Tyson but I hope he’s treated fairly.

That means if the allegations prove to be true his career should be over.

No doubt though he’ll always be able to find a home in Academia and he’ll probably just be off air till things calm down.

Neil Degrasse Tyson is to astrophysics what Obama was to the US Presidency. They were to show that they could be as good as any, but they prove worse than most all the others. I suppose they’re just script-readers, though. As real as Michelle Obama’s womanhood. (Michelle Obama is a man)

Oh boy, Im glad these people are so vocal when the same things happened to Hon. Kavanaugh.

That assistant is gorgeous, the other two are double baggers - I find it hard to believe Tyson would be so desperate.

1984?! 2009?! 2014?! According to one of the links, that’s how old the accusations are. Why are they bringing them out now?!

As someone who has had far more trouble in the workplace with women than men, I say dismiss accusations & forget any investigation.

How after that much time does anything get proved? Either bring it up when it’s taking place, or shut up.
