NRA Applauds Brett Kavanaugh's Nomination to the U.S. Supreme Court

Time to call your senator and let him know that you support the nominating of Brett Kavanaugh for the U.S. Supreme Court!!!
“President Trump has made another outstanding choice in nominating Brett Kavanaugh for the U.S. Supreme Court. He has an impressive record that demonstrates his strong support for the Second Amendment,” — Chris W. Cox

During his tenure on the U.S. Court of Appeals, Kavanaugh wrote a strong dissenting opinion in opposition to Washington, D.C.’s ban on commonly owned semi-automatic firearms and registration requirement by applying an historical test consistent with Justice Scalia’s opinion in Heller.

“Judge Kavanaugh has demonstrated his clear belief that the Constitution should be applied as the Framers intended. To that end, he has supported the fundamental, individual right to self-defense embraced by Justice Scalia in the historic Heller decision. ”

“On behalf of our six million members, the NRA strongly supports Judge Brett Kavanaugh’s confirmation to the U.S. Supreme Court. We will be activating our members and tens of millions of supporters throughout the country in support of Judge Kavanaugh. He will protect our right to keep and bear arms and is an outstanding choice to fill Justice Kennedy’s seat,” concluded Cox.

#3

Well sure, he thinks presidents shouldn’t be investigated or sued, lol.

#4

Mute point !! A sitting president cannot be charged while in office !
He must first be removed either by impeachment, the voters, or the expiration of his term. They infer this temporary immunity from Article H1 and the separation-of-powers of the Constitution.

“Long-standing prohibitions” is not the same as “Shall not be infringed” as clearly written in our Constitution.

#7

What will you and your kind do when Ruth Ginsburg DROPS ??

#8

Moot point???..

#9

Lol, so you would now support impeaching a president before an investigation that reveals criminal activity. Yeah right. I doubt a republican controlled congress would agree with you.:rofl::rofl:

#10

No. A moot point is subject to argument. A mute point is settled.

#11

There is a difference between investigating and charging.

#12

President Trump will not be impeached !

#13

All this to do over a Senate politicizing a SCOTUS choice.
There are no requirements given in the Constitution for becoming a Supreme Court justice. No age, experience, or citizenship rules exist. A Supreme Court justice does not need to even have a law degree.
Any nomination should pass with everyone voting to confirm as this person meets all requirements.

mute point
Addressing the participants of a conference call while your phone is on mute.

#15

Much like you just did.

ROTFLMAO.

Good one.

#16

Monte doesn’t have a clue his tinhat is far too tight these days !:laughing::laughing:

#17

I wasn’t suggesting he would be, my point was clearly the opposite.

#18

Monte should know that SCOTUS doesn’t make rulings based on personal opinions. Judge Kavanaugh will be an excellent member of SCOTUS like Judge Gorsuch.

#19

You might wish that were true…

As usual your point was clear as mud and harder to nail down then an eel .
