Parkland high school shooting: suspect in custody, senator says 'many dead'

#181

– Across South Florida, thousands of students walked out in solidarity with the survivors from the school in Parkland. Some walked 10 miles to get to Stoneman Douglas High School.

– Hundreds of students in the Washington DC area also walked out in support of the Florida students.

Porn is considered a greater public health risk in Florida than military application weapons available to eighteen year olds, even eighteen year olds with mental health disorders. The sickness of the right that pushes legislation to protect the unborn but does nothing, NOTHING to protect the lives and interests of school students. :flushed:

How stupid do you think the American voter is ? Lets give credit where it is due ! The democratic party and the progressive / socialist movement can take all the credit for this dog and pony show ! 17 students all spewing the same rhetoric how heart felt and original is that ? None even mentioned school security this was a hit job and Americans are wise to this democratic ploy !

#186

Across South Florida, thousands of students walked out because they could cut school .

Secure the schools if you truly want to stop school shooting . Chicago has and there is no mass school shootings in one of the most deadly city’s in America . Chicago did it to keep hand guns out of their schools !
More than 100 wounded, 14 killed in Chicago over July 4th weekendhttps://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2017/07/05/july-4th-weekend-shootings-chicago/452585001/

American voters aren’t stupid, some are more informed than others and people have differing opinions on what it is that makes America great and except the disturbed, all Americans want America to be great, presumably.

These kids love their schools and are demanding legislative action and those that object will be left behind. You’re attitude towards these students is unforgivable.

#190

How utterly putrid of you! I’d like to see your ass cowering in a corner some day trying to avoid being gratuitously murdered by a kid with an AR, and see if you’d still be so calloused.

Yesterday’s Quinnipiac Poll.

Support for universal background checks is itself almost universal, 97 - 2 percent, including 97 - 3 percent among gun owners. Support for gun control on other questions is at its highest level since the Quinnipiac University Poll began focusing on this issue in the wake of the Sandy Hook massacre:
67 - 29 percent for a nationwide ban on the sale of assault weapons;
83 - 14 percent for a mandatory waiting period for all gun purchases. It is too easy to buy a gun in the U.S. today, American voters say 67 - 3 percent. If more people carried guns, the U.S. would be less safe, voters say 59 - 33 percent. Congress needs to do more to reduce gun violence, voters say 75 - 17 percent.

The second amendment does not grant unlimited access to weapons and Americans are increasingly getting this.

What is unforgiving is the left using the traumatize students a few days after the shooting and parading then around the nation ! That was callus and will not be forgotten when the young men and women can understand how poorly they have been treated by the lib’s !

#193

They are orchestrating this themselves. Of course you can’t bring yourself to listen to the 17 speeches, preferring to cling to your Alex Jones conspiracy theories instead.

On Monday, the site Gateway Pundit—a harbor for the most extreme conspiracy theories and hate-mongering of the alt-Reich—“discovered” that senior David Hogg, who has appeared on many programs to express his insistence that thoughts and prayers come after action, was the son of an FBI agent. This discovery immediately led to other right wing news sites declaring that Hogg’s opinions no longer mattered, as this was just another sign of the media trying to “prop up an incompetent bureau.” And to put the seal of authority on it, Donald Trump Jr gave a thumbs up to this announcement on Twitter.

"How utterly putrid of you " What the fuck happened to our discourse ?
I’ve been in a few tight spots in my life and have never had much success in avoiding trouble .
So I can’t say positively but if past performance is worth anything I think I would do my best to kill the person that was trying to kill me ! I don’t think I could live with my self if I ran or hid and someone else died .

#196

Judge not lest you be judged , Yawn

#197

Well then you’d best log out, shrug.

#198

So now the students are cowards. :flushed: absolutely unacceptable garbage.

#199

Exactly, what you’re saying about these students is PUTRID!!!

Former Rep. Jack Kingston (R-GA) has joined a growing far-right smear campaign against the students who survived last week’s massacre in a Parkland, Florida high school.

Kingston’s comments follow multiple articles smearing the students on Gateway Pundit, a Trump-supporting website that has White House press credentials. Gateway Pundit has attacked one of the students, David Hogg, a senior at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, because his father is a retired FBI agent. One article suggests that “Hogg’s father, who does not even work for the FBI, has tasked his son with talking about gun control to take the heat off the agency.”
