Not really true… Bannon is an economic nationalist which has a lot of characteristics of Hamilton but he is absolutely no Hamilton. Bannon is still very much a top down government kind of guy and a statist, so no I am not part of of the left / right spectrum you visualize as comprising the US political outlook.
Bannon, like Trump does not believe in taking any power away from the federal government but he most certainly wants to rake the regulative leaves that have accumulated over decades… that is good but by no means does that return much of any real power back to the states… more like off loading the expense. With the exception of education which they see as broken and should return to the incubator of 50 different states, they aren’t federalists. You hear little from him over the inappropriate functioning of the FED or the underlying problems with health care delivery…
What I do see in Bannon and Trump is a righting in direction of the boat. This of course is what the left and right used to do before they both became quite similar in direction and difficult to tell apart… like with foreign policy.
I am for a returning most day to day legislative work and policing back to the states but under strong supervision of the 10th amendment. That is not something you here in Washington… except for the element that both left and right consider ‘fringe’… You will say that the world had become to complicated and that I am naive… others will tell you that national government is no longer relevant and neither is the sovereignty of the US… you have made a comment in that direction before but I am not sure if you believe that or not.
The US is like an old corporation that can no longer maneuver with agility. It has become overly bureaucratic and weighted by the idea that ‘Daddy knows best’… Oh and by the way… I tend to agree that the US has created a lot of its own international problems both politically and economically. We have attempted to ‘spread democracy’ and created an explosion in the world population while destroying the natural order of so many societies will creating and unleashing corporations on the world who now seek to control governments… their are no true monopolies in the US that are not added and abetted by the US Federal Government.
You see… I see everyone in your political vision as ‘lefties’… Republicans are just a subdivision… like infrared, you can’t even see the light that exists beyond your political spectrum but having said that, I am no where near the world of anarchy… you could actually call me a centrist… want to compromise?
