Schumer Shutdown: Democrats Vote for Illegal Immigrants Over Americans

There’s good reason for confidence that Americans will make some corrections this fall.

Donald J. Trump
either elect more Republican Senators in 2018 or change the rules now to 51%. Our country needs a good “shutdown” in September to fix mess!

Well he’s got his sought after shutdown

Why did McConnell hold a vote when he had less than 50 votes knowing he needed 60??? Somebody who wanted a bill to keep government open would have continued negotiating for the necessary votes, shrug.

There was the matter of an absolute deadline… Besides I find your argument to be rather hypocritical… being one of an independent mind such as yours… should everyone hold the party line? should everyone vote a straight ticket?.

But I thought that the warriors weren’t going to be paid.

Same thing for republicans. Will you guys EVER realize who the enemies are and do something different???

“I am looking for something that President Trump supports and he has not yet indicated what measure he is willing to sign. As soon as we figure out what he is for then I would be convinced that we are not just spinning our wheels going through this issue on the floor but actually dealing with a bill that has a chance to become law.”

Mitch McConnell

I’m glad they Democrats didn’t bail out the GOP’s racism and general GOP governmental dysfunction…but, I thought that reconciliation could be used on the Budget and only for the budget… What am I missing? It seems like major media outlets are all talking about the need for 60 votes to pass a CR. If the GOP can’t use reconciliation, I will gladly and continue to lend my enthusiastic support to the Dems for saying no to this administration’s shitshow.

To set up reconciliation there needs first to be a budget resolution. That first step is what’s missing, I think.
From Wiki:

  • Congress passes a budget resolution, with a deadline of April 15. No presidential signature is needed; sometimes the resolution is delayed or never passed.
  • The budget goes to both houses. It goes to the Senate with a special rule: it can pass with 51 votes and cannot be filibustered. Other legislation can be filibustered and requires 60 votes to end the filibuster.
  • The budget cannot affect entitlements such as Medicare unless the budget includes “reconciliation instructions.” In that case, the Byrd rule applies and the primary result must be to reduce entitlement spending. [Judd] Gregg notes, “If the budget calls for more revenue to reduce the deficit, then reconciliation can be used to produce that revenue via fees or taxes.” A reconciliation instruction is a provision in a budget resolution directing one or more committees to submit legislation changing existing law in order to bring spending, tax revenues, or the debt ceiling into conformity with the budget resolution. The instructions specify the committees to which they apply, indicate the appropriate dollar changes to be achieved, and usually provide a deadline by which the legislation is to be reported or submitted.
  • After the changes are made, the Budget Committees consolidate them into one bill that is voted on by both houses; it needs 51 Senate votes.
  • The final reconciliation covers government spending and goes to the president who can sign it or veto it; the veto can be overturned by a two-thirds majority in both houses.

Hey,Firedupdem,How are Republicans racist???It’s the Schmobama Administration that created the racial division along with BLM. They don’t want blacks to get ahead because they wouldn’t need the crumbs the Democrats feed them.
Under the Trump Admin, black unemployment is under 7%. Alot lower than under Obongo. The Republicans want everyone to compete on a LEVEL PLAYING FIELD.So how is that Racist???.

  1. First shutdown in modern history with one party in control of all branches

  2. First shutdown to start on anniversary of inauguration

  3. Earliest shutdown ever in a presidency

So many shit posts by you and you still don’t understand that the Republicans don’t control over 60 seats in the Senate.

That wasn’t planned at all.

Yep, just so happened the shutdown was over an issue not even associated with funding.

Why don’t you go learn how basic shit works before rubbing your tiny dick beaters all over the keyboard.

Shills get paid by the post. He has to keep copying his daily ShareBlue messages because they think if they repeat themselves enough that people will believe it.

I do know that, apparently they don’t even control 51.

Btw, are you really going on record denying that this is the first time a government shutdown has occurred while one party was in control of Washington???

And what did you get paid for this useless post, hmm?

Why don’t you try defending the TIC’s comments in 2013 that a government shut down is owned by the president.

Or maybe his tweet that what America needs is a good government shutdown.

Or the director of management and budget who thought it was so cool to learn that he’s the one responsible to manage the shutdown.

And why not help yourself by learning civil debate instead of the lazy route of name calling and personal attacks.

First President to defy both parties and not an insider.

Your hate defies explanation.

As an Independent Bernie supporter, think one person here would ever be convinced to vote for Bernie or Liz or any other progressive???

What you are missing from your narrative is that DACA has absolutely nothing to do with the budget. So with respect to the inclusion of DACA, all the racist trump administration insisted on was actual border security and enforcement in conjunction with the discussion about DACA. The left in their usual modus didn’t want any compromise on the issue. But lets remind ourselves just how we arrived at this place… in 1986 in a ‘bipartisan’ agreement of amnesty and immigration reform that encompassed border security and enforcement. The bill passed… amnesty was instantaneous for some 3 million but… border security and enforcement… weelllll not so much. This of course leads us to a repeat (only many times bigger than before)… so I don’t see where insisting on the border protections and enforcement up front is really all that racist… Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me…

So what is missing in this BUDGET shutdown is the fact that democrats wanted to cloud the budget issue with a non budget item and refused reasonable compromise at that…

Even the failing NYT is blaming the Dems for he Government shutdown. Schumer and Pelosi are both lying again (as usual) and here is the proof…

If you aren’t a subscriber of the failing NYT and don’t want to support them making money off ads go here:

Link for liberals pissing their money away:

But why would you quote “fake news”, which is it.

Graham is pushing for a solution tonight. Blames that soulless Nazi Miller in the White House for derailing the president.

Looks like there’s a little bit of progress in the senate as a group of twenty or so have emerged from a meeting with something hashed our that they’re going to share with the senate at large. We’ll see soon hopefully.
