Obama has spent his life creating the persona that he wanted ‘at the time’… in 1991 as a prelude to a book he didn’t finish a 30something page pamphlet was written about him by his publisher who eventually printed ‘Dreams of my Father’. In that pamphlet he was described thusly:
“Barack Obama, the first African-American president of the Harvard Law Review, was born in Kenya and raised in Indonesia and Hawaii. The son of an American anthropologist and a Kenyan finance minister, he attended Columbia University and worked as a financial journalist and editor for Business International Corporation.
Because you guys find snoops a go to for truth is submit:
Now, this of course could be a rather significant oversight for a proud American or a carefully crafted piece of a persona that would push his book sales. Either way it was fodder for the ‘he said he wasn’t born in the US’ crowd or like much of his rhetoric, a convenient ‘untruth’ as… the ends justify the means. Not unlike his oft repeated tout of being a ‘Constitutional Law Professor’… he was neither full time nor was he ever titled or tenured as a professor. A slip of the tongue or yet another thing to doubt about his credibility? How far do you go in allowing a presidential candidate to ‘puff’ his resume? When do you allow for critical doubt in the face of such contradictions? I guess if his picture has a ‘D’ beside it, the left will give considerable latitude.
Oh, I don’t disagree that the political rhetoric of the argument has raised the temperature a lot sense Bill Clinton got off for perjuring himself and being defended by the very same people who would crucify a CEO of a private company for doing the very same thing; by the very same people who love to play identity politics and safe spaces and a rape culture that would require a contract for sex but allow him to deny several women who have never wavered in their claims against him.
Obama did get a lot of political stick but I would also say that he was elected for no other reason than he was black so you can’t put someone on a pedestal because of race and then not expect to be called out for it. By the way, no caricature of Obama comes close to the slim the left has produced about Trump. So me one crediable mainstream or even slightly off mainstream depiction of blood letting with respect to Obama… We have an off broadway play depicting Trumps assassination… we have comedian photoing themselves as haveing beheaded the president of the United States and while there has been widespread condemnation … she is still supported by a lot of high profile people in the US. Don’t forget that all it took was for a rodeo clown to wear a mask of Obama to get fired. As far as making Obama a one term president… the left made a campaign of impeachment out of trump before he was even the Republican nominee. As far as eating habits… and this was before the election. Not only does Huffpo pick at his selections, they ridicule how he likes it…
Look if you think that tit for tat and raising the level of rhetoric is a good thing then you support people going around beating up people for their political opinion. If you believe that Trump colluded with the Russians after seeing a full years worth of leaks that prove nothing; If you believe that hammering Trump for hammering Obama for hammering Bush for hammering Clinton is good politics, good dialog and good governance, then that is what you believe and for that… I say, you are the deluded one.
