The UN ; what is their role in Syria?

#1

The Geneva Conventions through its grave breaches regime sets out specific obligations for third states when grave breaches of IHL occur. They are charged with protections for the civilians in and around a war-zone.
The International Community, through the UNITED NATIONS, also has the responsibility to use appropriate means in accordance with Chapters VI and VIII of the Charter, to help to protect populations from genocide, war crimes, ethnic cleansing and crimes against humanity. Where the F*** are they now ??

#2

The UN is a completely pointless organization. They are nothing more than an extortion racket for poor countries and corrupt bureaucrats. The UN has never stopped a single war since it’s creation. Countries are still going to do whatever it is that they want to do. It’s time to dismantle the UN or kick them out of the United States and stop participating and funding that corrupt organization.

#3

If the United States, France, and Britain are responsible for bringing justice for innocent men, women, and children, what good is the UN?

#4

Exactly , useless money pit !!!
The UN condemns but failed to take any further action. In 1970 the nuclear non-proliferation treaty was signed which was an utter failure proven the UN is ineffective in their ability to enforce crucial rules ans regulations . The former head of the UN even claimed the UN was a failure .
Iranian leaders openly advocate genocide and actively transform their ideology into lethal practice. Iran is the leading state sponsor of terrorism and is hell-bent on acquiring nuclear weapons. Nevertheless, the Council has never had a single special session on Iran or even adopted a single resolution condemning Iran.
On April 28, 2010, the U.N. elected Iran a member of its main women’s rights agency, the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW). After EYEontheUN found the outcome buried in U.N. documents and Fox News brought the result to national attention, prominent women’s rights activists around the country began gathering signatures urging Secretary of State Clinton, at a minimum, to denounce the move after the fact. And we all know what she was all about !

#5

The UN has no use it is time to part ways . Once again we are spreading our forces very thin and we are so deep in debt it is time we stop trying to enforce very international crime .

#6

The U.N. is a BLACK HOLE of useless action. The U.N. is doing what it normally does .NOTHING!!!I It’s way past time to remove the U.N. from NYC and.put it where it belongs. Moscow , Tehran or Beijing…Congress should immediately cut off ALL funding. for the Useless Nation .Only problem is our politicians would find ways to waste the money.

#7

Part of the reason for the war was to send patriot pro-America solders out of the country (into the meat grinder) so that all that would be left here when things popped off was minority cross dressing millennial solders who wouldn’t defend the Constitution and Country against the globalist take over…or resist foreign (UN) solders on U.S. soil…

#8

Cut funding. Yes. Leave? No. We would lose our veto.

#9

We wouldn’t have a veto if we would withdraw from the U.N. and become a NON-ALIGNED Nation .

#10

F the veto , get the hell out !!! We pay billions of taxpayer dollar to have our troops killed in foreign land .
The UN was founded by Communists and CFR members whose common goal was a socialist world government. Sixteen key U.S. officials who shaped the policies leading to the creation of the UN were later exposed in sworn testimony as secret Communists . The UN’s basic philosophy is both anti-American and pro-totalitarian. The UN never settle disputes - it makes them worse! The U.N. under the guise of a “Small Arms Treaty” will create an international gun registry, clearly setting the stage for full-scale gun confiscation. overriding our national sovereignty, and in the process, providing license for the federal government to assert preemptive powers over state regulatory powers guaranteed by the Tenth Amendment in addition to our Second Amendment rights.

The UN is a moral cesspool filled with perverts and fat cats. In 1988, the top Belgian UN Children’s Fund (UNICEF) official was one of a group convicted of running a child sex ring. Moral bankruptcy is commonplace in UN operations. UN employees are paid 40% more than comparable U.S. workers and have subsidized rent. An ex-UNICEF official confirmed that “pampered and cosseted staffs” of various aid agencies “absorb 80% of all UN expenditures.”
U.S. taxpayers pay in excess of 22% of the UN budget plus 31% of the UN special-agency budgets. We are the policemen of the world , the UN uses US troops to enforce military action around the World . Time to bring our troops home and become the self-reliant leaders once again . All told, the United States provides about $3.3 billion a year to finance U.N. activities. American taxpayers cover 22 percent of the U.N. budget. The percentage for peacekeeping operations is even higher.

Imagine what the world would be like if we lost our veto. Like I said, cut UN money, but stay in. We can’t afford to lose that veto. If we lost it, the UN could decide to invade America and enforce some bullshit resolution. That veto is more important than you think.

#12

The UN is a useless money pit ! Screw any veto power and you seem to forget the USA is the weapon used to enforce ALL UN’s dictates . If we opt out many will follow . We don’t need them they need us ! How many more Americans are you willing to put in harms way for the interests of the UN and others ? Are we in a financial position to continue to be the UN’s policemen of the World ? How many US troops are scattered around the World in the UN’s interest ?

#13

The U.N. is only good for the Liberal celebrities to go on T.V. and cry big tears to donate money for these projects and make you feel guilty if you don’t donate.

#14

There are far too many charities here in the USA that benefit sick children why would anyone want to send money out of the Country ?

#15

The UN enriched and supported a tyrant and a mass murderer. Saddam used his UN-blessed loot not only to build palaces and buy luxury cars but also to provide patronage to loyal Baathists, reward Palestinian suicide bombers, and restock his arsenal, conventional or otherwise. When CIA chief weapons inspector Charles Duelfer went to Iraq in 2004 looking for weapons, the money trail took him straight to the UN relief operation, which, as he would report, had become a shill for an arms and illicit-money network that reached through Syria to Belarus and Russia. The network was buying “milk” from a Chinese weapons manufacturer, contracting for “vehicles” and “detergent” with Sudan, and negotiating for missiles with North Korea.

Now the UN, in contravention of its own charter, is rapidly evolving into something larger, more corporate, and more menacing: a predatory, undemocratic, unaccountable, and self-serving vehicle for global government. Something all the impossible to counter . A George Soros infected UN we need to rid ourselves of fast .
The failed Obama era policies that destabilized whole regions and created great violence are alive today, backed by currency manipulator George Soros, and delivered by the United Nations falsely named Human Rights Council. Working in concert, these corrupt organizations are developing and promoting false narratives in a poorly hidden attempt to dictate foreign policy to the Trump administration.
US Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley is scheduled to make a trip to the Democratic Republic of the Congo soon. Conservative Americans hope she recognizes the complicit actions of the UN Human Rights Council, Moise Katumbi, and George Soros for what they are, and calls for order, peace and stability in a region of the world little understood or followed by outsiders, but of great strategic importance to the U.S. Indeed, In his refreshing speech before the UN General Assembly in September, Donald Trump articulated a new American policy of “principled realism,” a break from previous administrations propping up corrupt, morally bankrupt regimes. President Trump called out hypocrisy at the UN, where the US is footing nearly 25% of the bill, and particularly in the Human Rights Council.

There is also the mystery still surrounding more than $19 billion’s worth of oil revenues supposedly doled out by the UN to victims of Iraq’s 1990 invasion of Kuwait.
4 In the words of Mark Malloch Brown, who headed the UN Development Program from 1999 to 2005, Soros and UNDP “collaborate extensively.” In fact, Malloch Brown lives in a house on Soros’s estate outside New York City. This potential conflict of interest was never disclosed by the UN or Soros, and even after it was revealed in the press, no documentation has been forthcoming to show that the relationship is at arm’s length.

The U.N. needs to stay out of Syria and let it play out. They fk thing’s up.
They have been silent about the WHITE South African farmers being killed or having their land " Redistributed" to those " deserving blacks .
